When I heard the weather this week, I was very excited to see no rain in the forecast since last week was filled with thunderstorms. Yesterday, I decided to do my run after work along the lakefront. My Garmin definitely doesn’t like the tall building downtown. Since it keeps searching for a satellite when I first start to run, I don’t know exactly how far that I ran. I think I ran somewhere between 5 and 6 miles. My run was better than last time since I now know how to get on the path to run by the lake.
On my way back as I was running between Oak Street Beach and Ohio Street Beach, I saw something moving in the water. When I looked closer in the water, I realized that it was a group of guys in wetsuits swimming in the water. I guess that is the place where triathletes practice their open water swimming part of the race. The lakefront after work is a very busy place with people doing all sorts of activities. This makes running at the lakefront never boring since there is so much to look at. After my run and then commuting home, I was so exhausted that I just had a glass of milk (for the protein) and crashed into bed. I was out like a light.
Since today was a non-running day, I worked out with my Jillian CD. Besides running, I haven’t done any other organized workout activities for quite awhile. When I first came home, it was very tempting not to do anything but then I pulled myself together and did the workout. It actually felt good to do some other stuff besides running. My son is his special workout place where he is obsessed with working out. He bought some more Biggest Loser CDs to mix it up. He likes working out with Bob while I like working out with Jillian. Since I was using different muscles tonight, I am sure that I am going to feel it in my body tomorrow.
