Sometimes you buy something and it turns out better than you first thought. I must say that I really love my Garmin watch. For tonight’s run I went to this sculpture park which is about a 10 minute drive from the house. There are no mile markers on the path so my watch came in handy. When I stopped to cross the street, I realized that I was running at a faster pace than I have been training at. I kept up the pace for the run but I need to run at a slower pace if I am going to cover more distance.
When I came home from the run, I actually saw my son who I haven’t seen for 2 days. For the past 2 days, when I got home he wasn’t in the house and then he came home after I was asleep. These late nights finally caught up with my son since he went to sleep at about 8:00 p.m. this evening. Tomorrow is his last day of High School and to celebrate, his friends are going to Sushi Para for dinner. This is their favorite sushi place since it is an all-you-can-eat sushi place. Teenagers are always looking for a good value.
I am so looking forward to the first official holiday of the year. There is nothing like a 3-day weekend to get me in a good mood. And if that isn’t enough to make me happy, we get out of work at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. Life is good.
